The St Blaize Trail starts at St Blaize Cave under the lighthouse and follows the cliff coast west to Dana Bay. Around 13 kilometres according to local operators, on a path that mostly runs along the top of the cliff edge, with a few descents into small bays and back up again. There is no shade. No shop, no water on the whole stretch, but a view of the sea almost the entire way, and from June to November whales below you if you are lucky.

You do not have to reach Dana Bay. Plenty of people walk in for an hour and take the same path back, which covers the best views. If you go all the way, allow four to five hours and arrange a car or taxi from Dana Bay, because nobody wants to walk back afterwards. The route also forms part of the guided Oystercatcher Trail. Take water, a hat and proper shoes, and stay home in fog.
